County Executive Metzger Appoints CJ Rioux as Commissioner of Finance

Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger today announced the appointment of CJ Rioux, CPA, as the County’s new Commissioner of Finance. Rioux brings nearly two decades of experience in public finance, accounting, and administration, including extensive service in Ulster County government and the State University of New York system.

Taking Action to Improve Conditions at Kingston Motel

Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger and Town of Ulster Supervisor Jim Quigley met this morning to address conditions at the Kingston Motel, where a number of families have been placed in emergency housing. The two met following an inspection of the motel by the Town of Ulster Building Department, and Supervisor Quigley outlined the process the Town will pursue to ensure all violations are correcte
